Dave Godwin PIFa is a freelance archaeologist
and a member of the Institute of Field Archaeologists.
When not conducting archaeological tours Dave is carrying out his
own research and he co-ordinates the Bostadh Scottish Rural Past Project
on Great Bernera which encourages members of the public to
discover more about settlements in the area through researching,
recording and interpreting.

Being resident on the west side of the Isle of Lewis, Dave is able
To take you to less well-known sites and is able to offer tours all year round.

Dave recommends to maximize the opportunity to see wildlife when you are on a tour that you don't wear bright clothes or strong perfume/aftershave. For your own comfort stout waterproof footwear and weatherproof coats and trousers are recommended. Some areas are uneven with steep gradients and can be very wet and boggy so a walking stick is advised
(Sorry No Pets).
